1. Who We Are
This policy is issued by Tax Wallet Inc., a Florida corporation (Florida Document No. P23000077808), doing business as TaxWallet (“TaxWallet”, “we”, “our”). It applies to the TaxWallet websites, apps, blog, social channels we run and other services (the “Services”), and it forms part of our Terms of Service.
We respect copyrights and expect users to do the same. We respond to notices of claimed infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. §512 (“DMCA”).
2. Where to Send Notices
Send copyright notices and counter-notices to our designated contact:
Copyright Agent, Tax Wallet Inc.
Email: legal@taxwallet.ai (subject line: “DMCA Notice” or “DMCA Counter-Notice”)
TaxWallet will provide a mailing address for formal legal notice on request. This contact is only for copyright matters; other requests sent here may not get a response. Support questions go to support@taxwallet.ai.
3. What a Notice Must Include
Your notice must be in writing and include:
- your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorized to act for the copyright owner;
- a description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed (or, for several works, a representative list);
- the material you say is infringing and enough information for us to find it, such as the URL;
- your name, address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.
A notice that leaves out these elements may not be acted on. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.
4. What We Do With a Notice
When we receive a complete notice, we act promptly to remove or disable access to the material, and we make a reasonable effort to tell the person who posted it and give them a copy of the notice. We may share a notice, with personal contact details removed, with the person who posted the material.
5. Counter-Notice
If you believe material you posted was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the address in Section 2 that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the material that was removed and where it appeared before it was removed;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number; and
- a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district where your address is (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which TaxWallet may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.
When we receive a complete counter-notice, we send a copy to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action to stop the infringement, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we received the counter-notice.
6. Repeat Infringers
We end, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts and access of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights. Fees already paid are not refunded when an account is closed for this reason, except where the law requires otherwise.
7. Our Copyrights and Trademarks
The Services, including their software, text, design, graphics, videos and documentation, are protected by copyright and are owned by Tax Wallet Inc. or its licensors.
TaxWallet, Justin, the TaxWallet logo and related names and logos are trademarks of Tax Wallet Inc. You may not use them in a way that suggests sponsorship or endorsement, or that is likely to cause confusion, without our written permission. Other names and logos belong to their owners.
To report misuse of our marks or content, or to ask for permission, email legal@taxwallet.ai.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. We post the new version here with its date and version number and keep earlier versions readable.
