1. Who We Are
This policy is issued by Tax Wallet Inc., a Florida corporation (Florida Document No. P23000077808), doing business as TaxWallet (“TaxWallet”, “we”, “our”). It applies to text messages, phone calls, voicemail and AI-assisted calls from or with TaxWallet, including calls handled by our AI assistant Justin and calls made through the Talks app that run through our systems.
It forms part of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. Consent to Text Messages and Calls
We send marketing texts and make marketing calls only to people who have given us their express written consent. Our consent checkbox is unchecked by default and reads:
“I agree to receive marketing and informational text messages and calls, including messages sent with automated technology and prerecorded or AI-generated voice, from TaxWallet (Tax Wallet Inc.) at the number I provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. See our Terms and Privacy Policy.”
- Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
- Each consent is for TaxWallet only; it is not shared with or transferred to any other seller.
- We record the consent text version you agreed to, the date and time, the IP address, the phone number and the page where you agreed.
- Transactional messages that you need for your account (for example security codes, account and filing status) are separate from marketing and do not depend on marketing consent.
3. Frequency, Hours and Charges
- Message frequency varies with your activity and requests.
- Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.
- We contact you only between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. in your local time, and we do not send more than 3 marketing calls or texts in 24 hours on the same subject, consistent with the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. How to Stop Messages or Get Help
- Reply STOP (or CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE) to any text to stop receiving them. We send one message confirming you have opted out and then stop.
- Reply HELP for help, or email support@taxwallet.ai.
- You can also tell us during a call, or by email, that you no longer want calls.
- We honor opt-outs immediately, and in every case within the time the law allows.
5. Your Mobile Number and Opt-In Data
We use your number only to send the messages you requested and to run your account. We do not share or sell mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their marketing. Our messaging providers process them only to deliver our messages.
6. Call Recording and AI Announcement
Calls with TaxWallet, including calls handled by Justin, are recorded and transcribed for quality, staff training, security and records. Florida law (Fla. Stat. §934.03) and the laws of several other states require the consent of every party to a call before it is recorded, so we tell you at the start of every call.
Calls answered or placed by Justin begin with this announcement:
“Hi, this is Justin, TaxWallet’s AI assistant. This call is recorded and transcribed for quality and records. If you’d rather not be recorded, you can hang up and email us at support@taxwallet.ai.”
Calls placed by our staff begin with: “This call is being recorded.”
By staying on the call after the announcement, you consent to the recording and transcription. If you do not consent, hang up and contact us by email or chat instead. You can ask for a human at any time during a call with Justin.
7. Recordings and Transcripts
Recordings and transcripts are kept and protected as described in the Privacy Policy (Sections 10 and 16). We do not use taxpayer tax return information heard on a call to train AI models.
