1. What You Are Authorizing
By electing a refund transfer (RT) or refund advance, you authorize the Banking Partner and TaxWallet to deduct from your federal and/or state refund, before disbursing the remainder to you: (a) tax preparation fees; (b) Banking Partner product and account fees; (c) transmission, technology, and service-bureau fees; and (d) any authorized add-on fee.
You will receive a written statement of these fees before you consent.
2. Voluntary; Alternatives
A refund transfer is optional. You may instead pay preparation fees directly and receive your full refund by IRS/state direct deposit at no product fee. Electing an RT does not speed IRS processing of your refund.
3. Disbursement and Timing
The IRS and state deposit your refund to the Banking Partner’s account; authorized fees are deducted; and the remainder is disbursed to you by the method you select. Timing depends on the IRS/state and the Banking Partner and cannot be guaranteed. Refunds may be reduced, delayed, or offset by government action outside our control.
4. Reduced or Denied Refunds; Residual Fees
If your refund is insufficient to cover the authorized fees, you remain responsible for the unpaid balance, which is collectible under the Billing & Refund Policy and any ACH Debit Authorization.
5. Governing Disclosures; Law
This Authorization supplements the Refund Transfer & Banking Partner Disclosures, is subject to the Banking Partner’s own agreements, and is governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the State of Florida (with the AAA arbitration and Miami-Dade County venue set in the Arbitration Agreement). Information use is governed by IRC §7216 and the §7216 Consent.
